Monica obtained her dual Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Sociology, from the University of Denver, and obtained her K-6 Teaching Certificate from Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver.
Monica obtained her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Nevada, Reno, and has more than 10 years of teaching and counseling experience. Monica Joyner is a Nationally Certified Counselor and is in the progress of getting her license for Alcohol and Drug Counseling.
​Excited and energetic clients who are ready and willing to change can be seen as some of the easiest clients to work with. However, life happens and walls are built and road blocks appear. Empathizing with all clients and their life experiences is my goal.
Human beings have an amazing aptitude for resilience. I see this daily working with individuals, families, and couples who are going through a difficult time. This resilience is what renews my energy daily. It is my hope to ignite the unique abilities within each of us.
